The position collaborates with the Director and Associate Directors in the planning, organizing, coordinating and executing of all functions and activities associated with the 24/7 Services Program. This position plays a critical role in recognizing donors who make significant contributions to Eisenhower Medical Center who are critical to the financial viability of EMC. In addition, this position assists high profile patients in navigating through the Health System by expediting orders and care and independently implements logistical changes as needed in the organization to assure privacy and safety for these patients.
Director 24/7 Services and/or in the alternative to the CEO/COO of the organization.
Indirectly supervises all nursing and technical staff involved in the care of high profile patients. Has the ability to intercede on the patients behalf to modify care routines as needed.

Provides independent direction of all activities of the 24/7 Program with delegated authority from the Chief Executive Officer.
Acts as direct liaison between patient, hospital staff and physician for all 24/7 patients. Has the ability to redirect staff as needed to provide effective services to patients.
Determines and coordinates suite assignments with the Admission Case Manager to ensure appropriate staffing assignment. Coordinate special requests for room assignments between Admission Case Manager and others
Facilitates 24/7 Services Patient Emergency Department experience and care, and plans and directs the admission and discharge process.
Determines charges for suite assignments
Ensures the physician’s orders necessary to initiate treatment are available, intervenes with the physicians as needed to obtain proper orders for the patient.
Anticipates patient problems and act to prevent/minimize difficulties in the process.
Coordinates inpatient care by all disciplines and prevents/solves patient care problems and redirects staff as needed to resolve such problems.
Escort inpatients and outpatients to and from ancillary departments for tests and treatments. Remain with patients throughout the test or treatment as requested.
Obtain the necessary admitting papers and required signatures for both inpatient and outpatient.
Responsible for suite assignment and charges.
Involves appropriate line manager in Service Recovery as necessary.
When on call, coordinates after hours admissions with Nursing Supervisor.
Notifies appropriate people regarding 24/7 Access patient admission.
Schedules OP testing and/or treatment appointments with appropriate departments at the request of physicians.
Arranges special services for patients, i.e. manicures, hair styling, post-discharge dietary services, MD appointments, etc.
Serves as back up for the 24/7 Services Director under the delegation of authority from the Chief Executive Officer.
Performs other duties as assigned.
