The Associate Dean-Academic Affairs is to provide operational and administrative oversight for the School's academic and assessment affairs and to provide business insight for the Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy in San Bernardino. Performs other duties as needed.
Knowledge of current technology and educational media used in teaching and presentations. Plan and execute new course and course change implementation, scheduling, and registration activities. Interpret data derived from assessment tools. Able to effectively communicate changes and instructions in a professional, effective and positive manner. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs including web-based new course and course change implementation, scheduling, and registration tools necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Able to communicate effectively on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure. Doctorate degree in pharmacy or PhD in the pharmaceutical or pharmacy administrative sciences is required. Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy with past previous pharmacy practice experiencepreferred. Must be at the rank of associate or full professor within his or her current institution and have evidence of progressive administrative responsibilities. Member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church or other Christian denomination who fully supports the University mission is preferred.
