Seeking individual with 10+ years hands-on underwriting experience with expertise in Excess Umbrella coverages to lead a team of experienced underwriters and manage a book of business.

 

Activities:

 

*** Actively grow a book of business and maintain a strong foundation for long-term business efforts through training and development of underwriting team members.

 

*** Oversee underwriting efforts and approve or decline new and renewal business submissions.

 

*** Develop and maintain rules and guidelines, ensure team adheres to state and federal insurance laws and regulations.

 

*** Provide hands-on underwriting expertise 'in the trenches' during complex projects.

 

*** Develop long-term strategies and growth plans based on current operations and future goals.

 

*** Foster the company's sales culture and act as a key point of contact for brokers and customers.

 

*** Create and implement standard procedures and policies aimed at producing profitable results.

 

Requirements:

 

***10+ years underwriting experience with strong focus on Umbrella coverages

 

*** Must be able to lead a team of experienced underwriters and grow a profitable book of business.
