JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for advancing the comprehensive Ambulatory Services program on the campus of UM Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, UM Harford Memorial Hospital, Swan Creek and future UM UCH free-standing ambulatory centers. Designs, develops and implements new and innovative ambulatory programs and services that address community needs and supports the mission, vision and values of UM Upper Chesapeake Health. Creates an environment that fosters the planning, evaluating, directing, coordinating, and improving health care services which are responsive to community and patient needs and which improve patient health outcomes. Assures all supervised departments adhere to established work practices and health system policies and procedures, and utilizes resources in an appropriate and efficient manner.


Education & Training: Master's degree in health administration or business required.

Work Orientation & Experience: Five (5) years of managerial experience with focus on ambulatory service lines that includes capital and operating budget preparation and management as well as cost-benefit analysis of programs, services and equipment. Previous leadership experience planning, evaluating, directing, coordinating, implementing, and improving health care services in the ambulatory environment. Previous experience in ambulatory unregulated services operations required with a focus on innovative and entrepreneurial program development. Previous experience in hospital based regulated outpatient services is preferred. Experience with performance improvement principles and processes. Extensive experience in new/innovative program development, ambulatory services planning, start-up, and operational planning required.
