The Thomas E. Starzl Transplantation Institute and the Department of Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine seek an individual for a tenure-stream faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor of Surgery. Successful candidates will develop a full-time, independently funded, basic research program in transplantation immunology and will be expected to engage in active collaboration with both basic scientists and clinicians within the interactive transplant research community. In addition to developing a successful research program, teaching and mentoring of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows will be expected.
Individuals applying for this position must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D. degree. Expertise in cellular and molecular immunology, intravital microscopy, and computational analysis are highly desirable. Proven track record of publications and extramural funding is expected. Salary and benefits will be highly competitive.
