The Division of Arthritis and Rheumatic Diseases at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is seeking a Rheumatology faculty provider at the Assistant Professor level. Our team is comprised of academic physicians and allied health professionals specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic disorders. For the past 40 years, the division has had an active educational program to train physicians intending to enter the specialty of Rheumatology.
The Division is at the forefront of rheumatology research and is dedicated to integrating cutting edge therapies in the management of patients with rheumatic diseases both in the Hospital and Clinics. Our dedication to moving rheumatology forward is equally founded in a commitment to education. Our faculty teaches our next generation of clinicians through lectures, coursework, educational curriculum development, and through hands-on mentorship in our clinics and hospital wards.
As a member of the Division of Arthritis and Rheumatic Diseases, in the Department of Medicine, you will report to the Division Head and will be expected to contribute in each of the following areas:
1. Administrative and other duties may be assigned based on divisional needs and your areas of expertise and interest, including opportunities to participate in and to serve on institutional committees.

This position participates in the division’s teaching activities, including divisional conferences, student and fellow didactics and on OHSU committees as expected and approved by the Division and Department, including undergraduate medical education programs and School of Medicine graduate programs.
4. There are resources available for start-up research and on-going support via established processes and opportunities. Faculty interested in doing research may be eligible to apply for departmental research assistance and non-clinical time through the Director of Research, Department Chair, and Division Head.
Candidate must be board certified in Rheumatology, have current medical staff privileges at OHSU and VA Portland Health Care System (VAPORHCS) at the time of your start date, an unrestricted Oregon Medical Board license, and a current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license linked to Oregon.
Previous work experience at a large Academic Medical Center.
