The Nephrology Division at the University of Toledo is extremely active in all aspects of Nephrology. The Nephrology Division is very active with the transplant program including the evaluation of pre-transplant and the post renal transplant care of patients as well participating in immunosuppressive protocols. The successful applicant will provide direct patient care in Nephrology; instruct medical students and residents in the discipline of Nephrology; participate in conferences and develop and conduct scholarly endeavors.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
-MD or equivalent required
-Successful completion of an Internal Medicine residency
-Fellowship trained in Nephrology
-Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Nephrology
-Current licensure in the State of Ohio required, prior to beginning the position
Communication and other skills:
-Ability to successfully teach and mentor medical students, residents and fellows.
-Experience in collaborating with specialists to explore patient health conditions and diagnose health issues.
-Experience in working as a team of healthcare professionals and collaborating with them to ensure positive, effective patient experiences with our organization.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
