The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and the MCW Cancer Center seek applicants for a full-time, research track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Faculty at this rank have demonstrated ability and experience in advanced study and research to enable them to make high quality, independent academic contributions.
As such, you are expected to lead developmental and cancer related studies in the area of CDK-RB-E2F pathway. You will also have the freedom to explore additional areas of research that enable your path to research independence. You will be expected to submit grant applications to internal and external funding agencies, including to the NIH and NCI. Given your strong history of scholarly activity with a number of high impact publications, we have every reason to believe you will be successful in obtaining extramural funding. You are also expected to train undergraduates, graduate and postdoctoral trainees as part of your path to independence.
Knowledge – Skills – Abilities
Applicants should have a doctoral (PhD, ScD or MD with MPH/MS) degree with relevant training or research experience in cell biology.
