Position Highlights The Department of Internal Medicine at The University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix invites talented academic scientists to apply for this outstanding early career faculty opportunity. The successful applicant will have interest and expertise in the broad area of translational research, specifically human pluripotent stem cell biology and pulmonary organoid technology. Individuals will be expected to spend 90% of their time in research related activities with an expectation to also engage in medical education and academic service.
The successful candidate will fulfill the responsibilities of a faculty member in an appropriate department, actively participate in teaching, clinical service and/or scholarly work, and must qualify for an appointment at the rank of assistant professor.
The successful candidate will meet the requirements of career-track faculty according to the College and University guidelines.

Duties & Responsibilities - Develop a nationallyrecognized and continuously funded research program in the field of stem celland organoid biology.
- Demonstrate scholarlyactivity by publishing results in peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in bothundergraduate medical and graduate education
- Participate in advisingduties and committee assignments.
- Expand collaborativeefforts with The University of Arizona biomedical scientists and physicianscientists.
- Participate as a productivemember of the Department and the College through impactful scholarly work andgood citizenship.
- Additional duties asassigned
Minimum Qualifications - Ph.D. in related field ofstudy.
- Post-doctoral training andexperience commensurate with appointment at the rank of a Career-Track AssistantProfessor.
- Demonstrated scholarlyaccomplishment in research.
Preferred Qualifications • Experience in lung organoid development .
• Current funding in the area of lung stem cell or organoid biology.
