The Infectious Diseases Division at Cincinnati Children'sHospital seeks an outstanding investigator working in the area of MicrobialPathogenesis relevant to childhood infections. This position is open forqualified applicants at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level.Important childhood pathogens may include Respiratory syncytial virus,influenza virus, HIV, TB, malaria, Staph aureus, streptococcal infections,fungal infections, resistant bacterial pathogens, childhood diarrheal pathogens,and a variety of others. Individuals working on microbes for which vaccinedevelopment remains a priority are preferred.
The individual will join a teamof investigators working in the area of diagnosis, treatment, and prevention ofpediatric infections, including a strong clinical trials group focused on novelvaccine development and testing. We seek an individual with a basic laboratoryprograms that will synergize with the clinical mission, and whose work willlead to the development of new treatments and preventive measures to improvechild health. Opportunities are ideal at Cincinnati Children's to work acrossclinical and basic science divisions and to translate basic laboratory findingsinto clinical interventions.
Qualified applicants will have a PhD, MD, MD/PhD, orequivalent advanced degree
