ROLE of the POSITION

The successful candidate is expected to carry out an active, independent research program and teach students effectively at all levels. The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in service activities. We are interested in candidates who are at the frontier of experimental research in condensed matter physics (including materials science) and want to build their own cutting-edge research laboratory at UNLV. Preference will be given to those that strengthen or complement the current research activities in the department.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a Ph.D. in physics or a related field from a regionally accredited college or university. Preference will be given to applicants who have at least two years postdoctoral experience.

SALARY RANGE

Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
