Qualifications

RequiredQualifications: 

- PhD or PsyD in Psychology, marital and family therapy, or related field 
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a psychologist or marriage and family therapist in the state of Minnesota 
- Experience providing psychological assessment and interventions to individuals, couples and families across the lifespan 

Preferred Qualifications: 

-Experience in supervision and leadership
-Program development and evaluation 
-Experience in providing integrative care with a team of physicians and a track record of working with teams of health care providers and support staff from different disciplines 
- Experience in providing psychotherapy to a socioeconomically, racially, and ethnically diverse clientele 
- Experience with medical education
- Experience supervising mental health professionals
- Experience in conducting research consistent with the complexity of issues that arise in primary care and the delivery of care in an integrated fashion

About the Job

Duties/Responsibilities:

Administration:
- Serve as coordinator of behavioral health curriculum and services for family medicine residency program 
- Working with the clinic leadership and multidisciplinary and team members to progressively develop, implement, lead and evaluate initiatives within the care setting towards improvement in interprofessional education, integrated care and quality outcome for patients
- Attend faculty and clinic meetings 
- Perform other activities related to administrative, clinical, and teaching roles
- Service on committees and administrative assignments as needed

Teaching: 
- Didactic teaching at didactic sessions for family medicine residents 
- Precepting and "on the fly" consultation 
- Shadowing and video review with family medicine residents with focus on teaching patient centered communication skills
- Participation in resident evaluation and milestone based competencies. 
- Plan and participate in resident wellness activities 
- Supervision of mental health professionals and trainees
- Plans and participates in faculty development activities

Clinical services in the outpatient setting: 
- Diagnostic assessment 
- Individual and group psychotherapy 
- Couples and family therapy if competencies present in this area 
- Crisis assessment and intervention 
- Brief psychoeducation and intervention as part of integrated care visits 
- Health and behavior coaching in individual and group formats

Research: 
- Conduct research and scholarly activity as appropriate and time permitting
