The University of New England (UNE) College of Pharmacy is seeking applications for a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track/tenure track clinical faculty position in the Department of Pharmacy Practice in the practice area of Internal Medicine at an academic rank consistent with the successful applicant’s qualifications and experiences.
The successful candidate will provide patient care, coordinate and teach in the pharmacotherapy course series in an integrated curriculum, and supervise advanced pharmacy practice experiences for students in the Doctor of Pharmacy program. Clinical service that supports the education of students is expected, as well as service to the college, university, and broader professional community. The primary clinical practice focus of this position is an adult general internal medicine service in a hospital setting. Candidates with specialty training/expertise in such areas as geriatrics, infectious diseases, pain management, pediatrics, and/or women’s health may be preferred. Candidates with experience in and a commitment to interprofessional teamwork/education, experience in health outcomes research, and/or prior academic experience will receive top consideration.
Applicants must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and possess additional professional training (residency, fellowship, or equivalent experience) and either have or be working toward attainment of credentials. Successful applicants should possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and a commitment to teaching, practice, and scholarship. Eligibility for licensure in the State of Maine is required. Three letters of professional reference are required.
