ASSISTANT PROFESSOR - Adolescent and Transition
The Division of Adolescent and Transition Medicine, Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC), is seeking a full-time Board Certified/ Board Eligible adolescent medicine specialist with clinical and academic interests in transgender patients or patients with eating disorders to join a well-established, interdisciplinary program at a tertiary care children's hospital. The selected individual will provide care to adolescents and young adults needing transgender care or who have eating disorders (anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and atypical eating disorders), working within a multidisciplinary team of physicians, dietitians and social workers.
The position will involve ongoing outpatient care in addition to sharing inpatient call for eating disordered and general adolescent patients as part of the Division of Adolescent and Transition Medicine. In addition to clinical care, the physician will be encouraged to pursue academic work in the field of eating disorders or transgender care. It is expected that 20% of the incumbent's time will be focused on scholarly activities, which could include research and/or resident/fellow/medical student education. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with an established team of educators and researchers at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and will have an academic appointment at the medical school.

If Associate Professor, the candidate must have a national reputation and scholarly achievement. Applicants should hold an MD or DO Degree, and have board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics. The ideal candidate would also be BC/BE in Adolescent Medicine. Applicants must possess a full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Ohio (or must be licensed in another jurisdiction and be eligible for licensure in Ohio). Prior experience with eating disorders and transgender care is preferred, but not mandatory.
