Assistant Production Manager in Charleston, WV

Our client company is seeking an experienced manager to provide day-to-day leadership and overall guidance to the hourly production staff (Team Leaders, Operators, Specialists).

You must be willing to:

· Lead day to day plant operations

· Troubleshooting/problem solving of process issues

· Train/coach/mentor shift Team Leaders

· Ensure compliance with all federal/state safety/environmental laws/regulations

· Drive continuous improvements in safety/productivity/quality/cost

· Investigate incidents/determine root causes/complete corrective actions

· Work with staff to determine maintenance needs for production

· Coordinate equipment servicing

· Lead/participate in pre-start-up safety reviews

· Serve as a role model for ensuring compliance with corporate policies

Requirements (IF YOU DON'T HAVE THESE, DON'T APPLY)

· BS in Chemical Engineering (MS preferred)

· 15+ years of Chemical or polymer resin plant manufacturing experience

· Experience working with teams in a Leadership role

· Experience with requirements/use of PSM (OSHA 1910.119)

· some background in plant turnarounds/start-ups preferred
