Oregon Health & Science University is a nationally prominent research university and Oregon’s only academic health center. It educates health professionals and scientists and provides leading-edge patient care, community service and biomedical research.
The duties of this position revolve around teaching, research, and clinical activities.
The teaching duties of the position involve participating in the education and training of medical and nursing students, house staff, and the regional medical community. The faculty member will be expected to make a didactic presentation at the Division’s Grand Rounds at least four times per year.
The second component of the position involves establishing and maintaining scholarly research activity directed toward the improved understanding of the causes, detection, and treatment of diseases.
The clinical component of the position involves providing clinical care to patients at OHSU Hospitals and Clinics, as well as off-campus affiliated hospitals and clinics, and engaging in public service through consultative activities in the appointee’s specialty with non-University groups.
This position will focus on pediatric craniofacial surgery, cranial vault and jaw surgery but will also have a general Plastic & Reconstructive practice. Adult cranio-maxillofacial surgery and general plastic surgery are also included.
