One of NY’s most powerful Healthcare/Hospital conglomerates now seeks for expanding divisions in 3 locations (STATEN ISLAND, BRONX and NYC) hands on and supervisory individual with 4+ years (OR experience a +) medical supply chain, materials, distribution, logistics, purchasing, ordering, inventory, and timely acquisition of all materials, equipment, and services in accordance with purchasing policies, procedures and contracts.
Responsible for diversified hospital purchasing activities, ensuring on time supply delivery, transportation expense control for inbound materials, and purchase order life cycle as well as cost saving initiatives.
Interact with vendor representatives, perform cost inventory analysis and communicate orders to suppliers via electronically and over the phone.
Coordinate order follow-up with vendor, receiving department, accounts payable and user department. Must understand supply chain. Resolve pricing discrepancies as they arise.
Coordinate and expedite product returns and complete appropriate paperwork for tracking of issues.
Coordinate product recalls, address product safety concerns and maintain documentation.
Monitor materials that are sourced with suppliers that meet healthcare performance objectives. Ensure supplier execution and manage sourcing and negotiations, implementation of agreements, performance monitoring and ongoing supplier and contract management. Any data analytics a +. MS Suite. Knowledge of any of the following systems; Oracle, PMM or Meditech.
