Job Summary: The Assistant Director will have responsibility for all programs, services, and aspects of the Medication Use Process within the Specialty Pharmacy Services areas. Leads staff in setting, meeting, and exceeding goals and objectives in the areas of patient care, education, research, and expectations of all internal and external customers. Manages systems and promotes ongoing learning to continually improve the quality of care and services provided by the specialty pharmacy. Supervises ongoing contracting and accreditation in the specialty pharmacy space as well as participation on department committees. Educates students and residents. Works closely with the Assistant Director, Retail Services, to create standardization of operations across multiple sites and implementation of innovative strategies to meet the needs of all patients. In addition to the core responsibilities of the position, the position will be responsible for executive of strategic initiatives as assigned by the Director of Pharmacy.
