Job Description

Assistant Director, Purchasing & Nutrition

This position leads the effort for negotiating and procuring$15M annually for food, equipment and supplies. The Assistant Director, Purchasing & Nutrition reports to the Director, Finance and Business Systems and supervises one exempt employee, 2 non-exempt employees, and 1-3 student employees.

The Key responsibilities of this position include collaborating on operational menu development with the Dining Director, Executive Chef, and operations' lead manager; ensuring procurement strategies and processes to effectively support the appropriate levels of inventory to meet sales projections and demand forecasts; and managing the capitol equipment planning and procurement processes of Dining, Concessions, and other Auxiliary Services Departments.

Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $78,500 to $98,100; salary commensurate with relevant experience.



Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Nutrition Science and/or Hotel and Institutional Management; 7-10 years of progessively responsible food service managment experience -at least 5 year with high volume, multi-unit/multi-location experience. Registered Dietitian, preferred. Management experience with procurement, financial systems,, budgeting and accounts payable, required.
