Position Summary
This position sits in the Office of Philanthropy’s Prospect Development Team under the Philanthropy Information Solutions department and reports to the Senior Director of Prospect Development. This position will work closely with peers on the Prospect Development team and colleagues within the Office of Philanthropy. The Assistant Director, serving as the liaison for the Planned Giving Team, will collaborate to develop optimal portfolios and strategic prospect pipelines to maximize legacy giving.
Through prospect management, prospect research, actionable intelligence, identification, tracking, analysis, and strategy-building, the Assistant Director deepens City of Hope’s institutional knowledge of its prospects by playing a vital role in helping the Office of Philanthropy meet its goals for prospecting, fundraising, engagement, communications, and stewardship. Working within the Strategic Partnership Agreement framework, the Assistant Director serves as a Strategic Partner for gift officers and/or revenue-generating programs, builds collaborative relationships with gift officers and/or program leads, and supports best practices to meet philanthropy staff’s needs for strategic planning and fundraising.
