Shift: Day Shift - Full time
Position Summary:
The Asst. Director of Outpatient Services is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the quality and appropriateness of social services furnished. Directing and overseeing the therapeutic activities of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and facility policy, goals, and objectives. The Asst. Director is responsible for oversight of daily operations, groups, and activities. This position contributes to the hospital’s philosophy, objectives, educational and quality improvement efforts, while providing therapeutic support to the program therapists. The Asst. Director will collaborate with the DCS, Program Directors, House Supervisor’s, Charge RNs, and unit nursing staff to ensure that quality care is being provided to the patients. Asst. Director alongside Director will oversee discharge planning, arranging for follow-care, and developing mechanisms for exchange of appropriate information with the sources outside the hospital.

Qualifications
Education: Must have a Master’s Degree from an accredited school of social work or must be qualified by education and experience in the social services needs of the mentally ill.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility preferred.
Licensure: LMSW, LPC or LCSW license issued by the State of Texas.
Additional Requirements: CPR certification and Handle With Care training during orientation week. Thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission, CMS, DSHS, OSHA, state and federal regulatory requirements preferred.
