Assistant Director, Journi Data and Analytics at Cambia Health Solutions in Portland, OR

Primary Job Purpose

Journi, a Cambia Health Solutions company, is a digital health platform that helps employees take full advantage of employer benefits, resulting in healthier people, healthier families, and healthier businesses. This role oversees the development, implementation, and management of analysis and decision support systems/tools that improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Journal’s clinical and operational activities. This AD plans, directs and provides expertise in data analysis, statistical methods, and development of analytic tools and technologies. This role provides leadership on analysis and decision support processes, design, and strategies, and partners with Journi stakeholders to ensure successful delivery on analytic needs of the organization. The AD of Journi Data and Analytics serves as a technical resource and content expert for projects related to healthcare data and information.

General Functions and Outcomes

• Responsible for promoting, developing and implementing knowledgeable, effective, timely, and innovative analytical and consultative support services to Journi business areas.
• Develops and maintains decision support processes, applications and data. Prepares (and presents) analytic reports and business recommendations to leadership team and other internal customers.
• Acts as a healthcare data expert with a functional understanding of its use for measuring healthcare cost, utilization, and quality.
• Serves as a technical resource and content expert for projects related to data and information.
• Involved in design and maintenance of data systems that interact with other business process information systems as needed to support clinical reporting and personalization.
• Develops and executes research to evaluate clinical and financial impacts of Journi solutions, and produces whitepapers and manuscripts of research for publication.
• Strategic and tactical planning of the core data and decision support systems/tools in conjunction with stakeholders to ensure that needs are met, and system integrity is maintained.
• Involved in design and maintenance of data and analytic systems that interact with other business process information systems.
• Keeps familiar with the latest developments and improvements in technology as related to objectives.

The Assistant Director, Journi Data and Analytics would have a Bachelor’s degree in business, math, statistics, computer science or related field and 5 years of management or leadership experience in healthcare informatics, business intelligence, actuarial, management consulting or similar experience, and 12 years of experience in analytic disciplines such as statistics, financial analysis, actuarial analysis, strategic planning, or management consulting, preferably in the health care industry. Prefer experience with the implementation of multi-dimensional system projects, including but limited to, data warehouse, decision support, reporting systems or major system conversions. Master’s degree preferred.
