The University of New England College Of Dental Medicine invites applications for a full-time clinical-track faculty position (Assistant / AssociateProfessor – Dental Public Health).

The Community-Based Education (CBE) portion of the curriculum has been designed to span students’ final year in the DMD program. Each fourth-year dental student participates in up to three 12-week rotations at community-based externship sites across Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. Candidates must demonstrate a passion for dental education and a strong desire to teach students in a demanding, fast-paced, academic environment. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to contribute to and participate in a humanistic environment of learning and discovery. The successful candidate is expected to be able to provide direct clinical supervision of predoctoral dental students as well as provide didactic instruction. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience. Interviews of qualified candidates will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
Qualified candidates must possess a D.D.S./D.M.D. degree or international equivalent and a Certificate/Masters in Public Health, or Dental Public Health. Candidates with relevant specialty certification/training will also be considered. The candidate must be currently licensed in Maine or have an active dental license in a US state or Canada and be eligible for licensure in Maine and must have successful completion of NBDE I & II. Didactic and clinical instruction of pre-doctoral dental students will be the core responsibilities for this position.
