Mediabrands Society helps brands define, redefine or cultivate their own media channels and produce creative assets with which to program them. 

We create always-on content that sustains interest in the brand; extend campaigns through periodic content that has a defined start and stop date and create pulses or real-time that takes advantage of news, business or cultural events.

The designer/art director will collaborate closely with other art directors and copywriters and will work on multiple brands.

Key Duties:

  • Help concept creative platforms for brands’ always on content strategies, especially across social mediachannels
  • Design/art direct content that delivers on a platform level idea
  • Create visuals for real time social media responses on behalf of client brands
  • Participate in photo shoots and video productions
  • Contribute compelling design elements + look/feel for social video, photo and art content
  • Work with account, strategy and production to deliver content in line with editorial calendars
  • Help design pitch materials including decks, presentation/mood boards
  • Help maintain our own sites and social feeds
  • Keep abreast of client and category objectives, trends, competitive advertising
  • Push and help evolve Society to remain innovative and forward-thinking

Preferred Experience/Attributes:

  • A robust portfolio of work for a broad range of clients
  • A track record of creating ground-breaking work in digital, social and experiential channels
  • A desire to set new trends and work in new media channels
  • Comfortable not making TV spots or print ads
  • Evidence of understanding the inner-workings of an automotive OEM



  • Bachelor’s degree

 Work Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience designing, developing, and creating for digital/social (broader or traditional platform experience appreciated)


  • Knowledge of social platform capabilities & best practices, and a willingness to learn new ones
  • A love of conceptual storytelling that transcends platform
  • A collaborative spirit and a cooperative ego
  • A willingness to help support on all projects and pitches
  • Additional creative skills such as song-writing, stand-up, and semaphore a plus
