HDR is looking for an Area Utility Management and Operations Practice Lead to join our Water Business Group in Raleigh, NC. The primary duties of the Area Utility Management & Operations (UMO) Practice Lead include responsibility for local development, coordination, monitoring and improvement of technical competencies of Utility Management & Operations staff and products to meet client needs and market drivers all within the direction and goals of the area UMS program.  Participate in delivery of project services to meet client expectations.  Collaborate on business class efforts with departmental operations, marketing and project management.  Participate in Management & Operations practice and professional discipline groups, project teams and activities to continually improve standards and best practices; implement effective quality assurance and quality control reviews.  Participate in business class strategic planning, budgeting and plan implementation. Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values.

 

Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications

BS in Civil Engineering or related discipline

PE license

15+ years of water and/or wastewater utility experience or related engineering and/or operations work

Must be experienced in the development and management of diverse teams. 

Previous experience working for a public, municipal, or investor owned water and/or wastewater utility, public works department, engineering consulting firm with project managementexperience with utility management and operational related services

Preferred Qualifications

Local candidates are preferred

MSdegree in Engineering

Professional certifications of a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or a Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) are desirable
