We are currently seeking an Area HR Manager (AHRM) to be located in Northbrook, IL and report to the HR Director, ReadyRefresh. The AHRM is a key member of the Midwest Direct Delivery leadership team and partners with leadership to drive performance and continued enhancement of the organization’s culture and capability supporting an area containing 8 route facilities with an average of 220 employees. Consisting of Route Delivery Drivers and Logistics associates. Facilities are based in Chicago, IL; Woodridge, IL; Northbrook, IL; Columbus, OH; Cincinnati, OH; Indianapolis, IN; and Wauwatosa, WI and Livonia, MI.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Develop and execute proactive employee engagement programs to ensure high levels of management credibility and business performance. Examples include: Operations change management, roundtable programs and leadership assessments
• Provide leadership to the bench development process for all team members including performance management, career development and workforce planning
• Develop and execute regional recruiting strategies for front-line positions that delivers full compliance, strong diversity and effective selection
• Leverage Leadership Development and other training options to improve leadership capability to drive business growth
• Provide counsel and support to managers and employees of ongoing HR initiatives and projects
• Promote and foster the Nestle Continuous Excellence culture through an empowering, open minded and proactive approach and by acting as a catalyst for change management
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a human resources generalist/leadership role in a progressive HR department
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Strong business acumen and HR leadership experience with a proven track record of acting as a strategic HR business partner in an operations environment
• Experience in proactive employee relations, recruitment and staffing
• Employee relations including fact finding, managing conflicts and developing win/win solutions)
• Ability to lead though influence in a collaborate environment
• Demonstrated experience partnering with clients on solving business/operational issues
• Knowledge of CA and federal employment law including HR technical knowledge of EEO, AA, FMLA, ADA, unemployment and worker’s compensation
• Demonstrated communication abilities at multiple levels of the organization
• Demonstrated organization skills leading to the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

Qualifications

Key qualifications include but are not limited to the following:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a human resources generalist/leadership role in a progressive HR department
