BL Companies is an ENR Top 500 employee-owned firm that provides architecture, engineering, land surveying, and environmental consulting services to the public and private sector. BL is looking for Mid to Senior level Project Managers to grow our architectural design group in Connecticut.

The Project Manager position requires a licensed architect, having a minimum of 10-15 years’ experience practicing architecture and 5-7 years of Project Managementexperience on retail, commercial and industrial projects. BL Companies Project Managerresponsibilities include business development, client engagement, resource planning and managing the successful delivery of projects while providing mentorship to developing staff.

Experience and Skills:

  • Manage multiple projects that may include the use of multiple disciplines both within and outside of the company.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor internal workplans
  • Determine staffing needs and recommend project personnel
  • Monitor and report on internal and external measures on project profitability and performance
  • Participating in business development and new project pursuits;
  • Executes projects to exceed client expectations for quality, schedule and budget.
  • Successful completion of projects by collaborating and coordinating with internal and external clients.
  • Participates in the proposal development process and contract negotiations.
