Overview:

The FNTS Storage Architect is the enterprise expert on IT Opportunities and Innovation for FNTS. The Storage Architect uses multiple techniques and methods to engage and lead the organization in new ways of thinking, working, solving problems and developing innovative ideas that help our customers, employees, company and community.

 

The FNTS Storage Architect is responsible for the development of technology roadmaps, repeatable models, informative reference architectures, and enterprise technology capabilities as it relates to our storage and compute environment.

 

The outcome of this work will transform FNTS customer experience, creating a competitive advantage, while making us more efficient and effective; ultimately creating loyal customers and sustainable growth.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

IT Opportunities: Identify, track, evaluate, recommend, and manage the adoption of emerging products, services or technologies within storage and compute areas

  1. Lead research and analysis efforts related to: industry, technology, market and consumer trends to determine their potential beneficial value or disruptive impacts to FNTS

  2. Identify and understand considerations and constraints of our environment, as well as possible impediments to success

  3. Educate, communicate and document research via presentations, executive briefings, technology white papers and non-technical position papers

  4. Plan, coordinate and lead feasibility analysis (customer adoption & value), technical evaluation (Lab, POT, POC, Pilot), business analysis (competitive, industry and cost benefit analysis)

  5. Propose recommendations for future technologyinvestments or technology enabling business processes or products based on thorough and objective evaluation results

  6. Contribute to business case development and initiative planning including people, skills, process & technology

 

Customers:

  1. Successfully lead complex customer engagements, bridging between the needs of the customer and FNTS

  2. Successfully lead and oversee due diligence engagements to gather the necessary information to design solutions to customer business problems

  3. Provide technical, project and relationship management for customer engagements

  JobQualifications: 

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or othertechnology-related field or equivalent number of years of experience

  2. 12+ years of relevant professional experience in systems, storage, databases, applications development and/or networking

  3. Ability to gather, compile and analyze data to make practical recommendations at the tactical or strategic level to executive management

  4. Experience with developing relationships with and ensuring the appropriate participation of key customer stakeholders

    1. Demonstrable evidence of influencing and consulting with senior stakeholders up to board level

    2. Demonstrable evidence of technical and advisory leadership for customers, sales, and other consultants

  5. Strong sales support skills, recognizing client needs for current and follow-on opportunities, gains customer respect, and possess good relationship building skills.

    1. Exceptional communications capabilities, including leveraging others and effectively communicating the technical and business message

    2. Experience with external customer management including expectations, communications, negotiations, escalations and feedback

  6. Self-motivated, innovative, and high degree of initiative. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and direction

  7. Takes accountability and demonstrates strong ethics and integrity

  8. Experience working in a fast paced, cross-functional and cross-team environment
