Essential Functions

  • Works collaboratively with IT and Business partners to maintain support and enhance the Microsoft Sharepoint enterprise business application
  • Ensures that applications meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfills end-user requirements, and identifies and resolves systems issues
  • Partners with assigned business units to understand business processes, and configures changing business needs as enhancements into new and/or existing solutions applying change management best practices
  • Meets with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identifies and resolves systems issues
  • Administers ConvergeOne software applications including setup and configuration of new users, functionality and workflow
  • Contributes to system testing and user acceptance testing phase of development by evaluating new functionality in order to identify potential problem areas, and make the appropriate recommendations
  • Works on optimization of enterprise-wide business applications by providing support to users, streamlining workflow and improving and maintaining data integrity
  • Ensures that any new software integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications
  • Works with the Tech Support Team to respond to requests from business users while creatively resolves issues, answers questions and clarifies business processes, designs and develops enhancements, troubleshoots and fixes bugs and provides Tier 2 to 4 application support to end users
  • Works with company's software suppliers for prompt rectification of any problems or emergencies
  • Defines and performs routine maintenance practices related to application/system administration (typically done outside of normal business hours) and monitor overall system health as necessary
  • Collaborates in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications
  • Reviews and analyzes existing applications' effectiveness and efficiency, and then develops strategies for improving or leveraging these systems
  • Coordinates feasibility studies for software and system products under consideration for purchase, and gives advice based on findings
  • Researches and makes recommendations on software products and services in support of procurement and development efforts
  • Deploys new applications, systems software, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the enterprise
  • Collaborates with business units and stakeholders to define project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Evaluates change requests to determine effort required to configure/update applications
  • Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
  • Works with Project Manager to track project milestones and deliverables
  • Manages proactively changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devises contingency plans
  • Builds, develops, and grows any business relationships vital to the success of the organization
  • Develops best practices and tools for software project execution and management

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field is required
  • 4 or more years Microsoft Sharepoint application administration required, including enterprise document standards and management, collaboration, workflows, and other application functionality
  • Application administration experience with other enterprise business applications a plus
  • 4 or more years in business application support and maintenance
  • 4 or more years working with external vendors in the development and support of applications
  • Proficient in Microsoft CRM and Microsoft GP is strongly preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills are a must
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to applications support
  • Previous business experience in a sales or telecommunications environment preferred
