The Opportunity:
Icron Technologies, now part of Maxim Integrated, is a global leader in the development of USB and video extension technologies serving a wide range of markets including aerospace, industrial automation, medical imaging, IT/networking and proAV.

Icron Technologies is currently looking for a MTS Applications Engineer to provide technical customer support and participate in the testing and verification of internal product developments.
Key Responsibilities:
The MTS Applications Engineer duties and responsibilities include:

    Research, diagnose and identify solutions to resolve customer issues.

    Communicate effectively, both internally and externally, via verbal and written communication.

    Follow standard engineering procedures for documenting and reconciling issues.

    Ability to support and resolve customer issues through direct communication.

    Prioritize and manage several open tasks simultaneously.

    Assist with documentation review, customer forms, and conduct product testing.

The ideal candidate is a motivated and self-driven individual who is an effective communicator and creative technical thinker, with an aptitude toward working with people and resolving complex technical issues. Communication (written and oral) skills are critical to the success of this role.


Minimum Qualifications     

Minimum Requirements:

    Hands on experience with Windows/macOS/Linux environments.

    Technical support experience involving effective diagnosis of the operation of complicated electronic systems, ideally in data communication or similar fields.

    Strong written and oral communication skills. Must be able to articulate customer technical issues and collaborate with others to evaluate technical options, and convey technical solutions.

    Knowledge/experience in data communications technologies/interfaces such as USB or Ethernet an asset.

    Proficient in latest MS-Office suites, data communication tools such as WireShark, USB Tree Viewer.


    Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

    Additional technical and professional credentials relating to afore mentioned skills would be an added advantage
