In this role, you will be responsible for developing the requirements and design for UConnect connected services as applications by interfacing and collaborating with various internal / external stakeholders.

  • Interface with various teams to ensure development and approval of the definitions, requirements, and design gates
  • Create Definition Gate Documents Including:
  • Customer Experience (CX) Documents
  • Feature/Service Pattern Map
  • Vehicle Integration (VI)
  • Customer Functional Objectives (CFO)
  • Project Tailoring Documents
  • Baseline Project Plan
  • Create Requirement/Design Gate Documents including:
  • System Functional Specifications (SFS)
  • HMI - Logic & Flow
  • Graphics
  • Component Functional Technical Specifications (CFTS)
  • Vehicle Functions (VF)
  • CAN DBC Files
  • Head Unit API Specifications
  • App Functional Specifications
  • Business Requirement Documents (BRD)
  • UConnect Style Guide (Brand Booklet)
  • MOPAR Style Guide (Web-based)
  • Security Specifications
  • Architecture Matrix
  • System Requirements Specifications (SRS)
  • Protocol Specifications
  • Application Requirements Specifications (ARS)
  • User Stories
  • Initial Test Cases
  • Chang Requests
  • Review, approve, or modify definitions, requirements, and design gate artifacts
  • Owner of Change Requests and Failure Fixes that result in design changes
  • Coordinate activities of group with other departments or organizations
  • Communicate project status to management

Required Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or IT
  • Master's Degree is preferred
  • Minimum 5years of experience in Automotive Electrical / Connectivity
  • 2years of automotive electrical development/design
  • 2years of telematics connectivity development
  • Requires strong leadership skills
  • Experienced in Vehicle and Connectivity Architecture
  • Experienced in Design Review
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask - prioritizing projects and tasks
  • Proficiency in MS Suite of Software: Excel / Outlook / Visio / Project / Word
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • Java / AndroidArchitecture knowledge
  • AOTA Experience
