Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

As an Application Support professional on the Infrastructure Service Support team at JPMorgan Chase & Co., your dedication to innovation is essential to what keeps our company moving and thriving. In this role, you’ll oversee application issues, including troubleshooting, maintaining, identifying, escalating and resolving. You’ll ensure that the production changes your team makes are made keeping best practices, lifecycle methodology and overall risk top of mind.

Partnering with Infrastructure Service Support team members, you’ll dig into root cause analysis, production changes, budgetary, and staffing issues. You’ll also draw on your experience to manage and mentor people to drive strategic change, both within your team as well as in collaboration with team members across JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s global network of innovators.

Job responsibilities

Application Support & Monitoring:

  • Monitor infrastructure, servers, databases, distributed batch jobs.
  • Support Sustained Resiliency, Disaster Recovery, and High Availability events.
  • Aggressively respond to service requests from Client facing support teams, Operations, Risk/control partners, etc.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues (Java/J2EE, .Net, Cloud etc.) or escalate and work with appropriate technology teams to provide solutions.

Incident Management:

  • Coordinate incident management coverage, to ensure appropriate coverage
  • Call facilitation, coordination and communications during critical outage situations
  • Call documentation, queue management, ticket analysis and interface to impacting lines of business for incident impact analysis via the Production Assurance process
  • Single voice for our line of business and for cross line of business incidents
  • End to end view of issues for objectivity
  • Influence senior technology leads across organizations to ensure timely resolution of incidents

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven expertise in application development and support environment with more than one technology and multiple design techniques
  • Advanced knowledge of development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software
  • Experience with one or more general purpose programming (Java, Python, .Net, C++, etc.)
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and understanding of Pivotal cloud foundry.
  • Understanding of network topologies, load balancing concepts and content delivery network
  • Understanding of Web application and mobile application.
  • Understanding of risk controls and compliance to departmental and company-wide standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
  • Ability to run production incident conferences bridges.
