Job Description:

Provide technical and analytical support for midrange applications in UNIX/AIX environment. Viewed as a technology subject matter expert, the position requires the ability to communicate complex technology solutions across differing audiences including technical, managerial and/or vendors. The position requires on-call support in a 24x7 follow the sun model. *

Technical support consultant is responsible for supporting multiple complex applications * Work activities include Problem/Incident Management,

Operational Readiness, Application Monitoring, Service Analytics and Reporting, Production Governance, Triage, Associate Support, Change/Configuration Management. * Takes ownership of escalations and perform trouble shooting, analysis, research and resolution using advanced query and programming skills * Takes part in production support rotation, and responding and resolving production problems * May provide coaching and mentoring for otherassociates * Will work under minimal supervision * Typically requires 5-7 years of applicable experience* Should have coding experience in the past or code debugging experience and able to help out with complex triages and Root Cause Investigations * The position requires on-call support in a 24x7 Required Skills / Qualifications: (Candidate should have hands on experience in several areas listed below) Candidates MUST have in depth technical experience in midrange application support, including the following expertise. * Java, Oracle, Perl, Bash, UNIX/AIX/Linux, MQ, FTP/NDM, MuleSoft * BMC Remedy * Ability to create well-defined documents * Ability to communicate effectively with people of varying degrees of technical expertise. Follow the sun support model. *Experience in Production Support *Experience in change management and incident management tools * Ability to solve production down situations under tight SLA deadlines, including root cause and problem resolution follow-up * Proactive in identifying, escalating, and addressing project issues and risks *Experience in coordinating with offshore/onshore teams and delegating work * Excellent Problem Solving skills and an Entrepreneurial Attitude * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Meeting facilitation and discussion moderation skills * Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
