As part of an Application Development team, this individual analyzes business requirements and problems and drives research to design quality technical solutions. The ServiceNow Developer will be responsible for core system configuration and developing business solutions in the ServiceNow platform. Gathering and documenting user and process requirements, functional requirements, and developing technical requirements. Developing workflow customizations and supporting service transformation projects and initiatives. This individual will be involved in portions of full systems life cycle and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting the ServiceNow application. Handles complex problems independently and demonstrates analytical thinking. Can make judgements and recommendations based on the analysis and interpretation of data.
3+ years of prior relevant experience with development
3+ years’ experience in design, development and deployment experience with the ServiceNow platform.
3+ years’ experience working within the ServiceNow Platform.
3+ years’ experience designing, developing, testing, implementing, integrating, and supporting applications
3+ years development experience within the Service Portal module
3+ years’ experience automating external processes using MID Server, Flow Designer, Pre-built orchestrations & plug-ins, JDBC, PowerShell, LDAP, SQL, & SFTP
3+ years’ experience developing complex workflows within the Service Catalog
3+ years’ experience in Glide and Jelly Scripting, Java Script, HTML, XML, AJAX.
Comfortable working in a high paced work environment and can adapt to rapidly changing business drivers.
Experience with service portal development
Experience developing and/or troubleshooting integrations for Active Directory, 3rd Party plug-ins, O365, and/or Azure AD
Strong analytical skills, well-versed in ServiceNow configurations, and is solution oriented.
Self-starter, with quick learning curve.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology, with participation in at least 2 full application development life cycle: Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing and promotion into Production
Knowledge of one or more of the following: HTML/CSS, AJAX, Jelly, JSON, AngularJS.
Experience in all areas of the Java development platform
Experience developing integrations with 3rd party tools using (web services, SOAP, email, MID, etc.).
ServiceNow administration experience.
Experience building custom automation workflows and development of customized modules
Experience creating and managing project documentation
Demonstrate a high degree of customer service and teamwork
Excellent communication skills, analytical ability, strong judgment and leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively with clients and IT management and staffs, both technical and non-technical
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or other related field or recent equivalent work experience.
