Responsibilities

  • Partners with business line to address technology needs and/or deficiencies by designing and developing custom software solutions
  • Subject matter expert on systems in order to provide developer level analysis to identify application defects, deficiencies and areas for improvement
  • Apply consultative approach to assist with application architecture and design when implementing new systems and/or application enhancements
  • Collaborate with impacted stakeholders to ensure software solutions meet business line requirements
  • Build strong relationships with internal partners (such as Core Technology, Risk, Strategy, Product Management, Reportingand Analytics)
  • Support business line by developing solutions to operations-related problems/inquiries and owning the implementation and delivery of a recommended solution
  • Assist with vendor management activities by coordinating with vendors for the application integrations owned / supported including, but not limited to upgrades, enhancements, implementations, customer impacts, vendor oversight and management
  • Manage change control process to support business changes and / or new code releases
  • Coordinate / support new application releases and enhancements, working with Implementation teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Management Information Systems required
  • 3+ years of full stack application development experience required
  • 2+ years of C# .NET development experience required
  • 2+ years of Python development experience required
  • Strong proficiency in the use of C# .NET, JavaScript, HTML5, PHP, and SQL required
  • Agile delivery methodology experience preferred
  • Financial Industry experience strongly preferred
  • Consulting background experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to propose multiple software solutions to complex problems and recommend the best solution to the business lineand project team is required
  • Ability to question effectively and draw out business needs and translate into software solutions
  • Ability to obtain, analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills - with ability to present to all levels of the organization required
  • Ability to influence, develop and establish positive working relationships across the organization preferred
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies
  • Proven ability to coach, develop and mentor on best practices preferred
  • Outstanding organizational and effective time management skills preferred
  • Superior problem-solving, system-level thinking, and data architecture skills required
  • Ability to broadly conceptualize complex data flows across multiple systems and make sound technical decisions within each system
