Application Delivery Engineer
Location: Columbia, MO, United States
Veterans United is seeking an Application Delivery Engineer to design, build, and maintain our highly-available infrastructure. This role will play a key part in developing our platform-as-a-service offering as well as direct interface with software development staff, product owners and participate in an agile team of cross-functional engineers. This position will not be originating loans.
Design, implement, and maintain application delivery service with F5 BIGIP appliances.
Work with product owners, team-mates and software developers to build service offerings supporting our highly-available infrastructure.
Participate in an agile team, including various ceremonies and daily work commitment.
Escalate road-blocks and barriers to product owner or team-lead and utilize tight feedback-loops to keep in step with team.
Ensure you continuously grow in your business knowledge, technical knowledge and incorporate evolving customer experience trends into your tools/services/products.
Aptitude to learn new technology.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and decision making skills.
Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize, maintain attention to detail and recognize time constraints.
Excellent communication skills and a strong desire to work in a collaborative environment.

Experience managing F5 Bigip Application Delivery Controllers, bonus points utilizing iControl API.
Understanding of modern TLS standards and Public Key Infrastructure.
Experience working on a small team to implement new features or products in partnership with product owner and development resources.
Experience with Agile teams, ceremonies and principles
Fluency with at least one scripting language (such as PowerShell, python, etc.)
Working knowledge of at least one scripting language.
Understanding of the OSI reference model.
Understanding of DNS.
Experience with at least one type of load balancer, application delivery controller, or HTTP proxy.
Proficient in basic computer technologies, appropriate for an internet-based company.
