About the Role:

You'll nurture a piece of our product portfolio and be part of our team that is fostering its growth. As a Senior Product Manager, your role will be to understand the needs of our enterprise customers and guide and coordinate a team of designers and engineers to deliver a product that has a transformative impact for those customers. You will have the opportunity - and the challenge - to think deeply about the direction of our product, and to work with a team to see it come alive. In this role, you will:

  • Own and guide the product vision and strategy for critical parts of our product portfolio

  • Develop empathy for our customers and field teams so that you understand our customers and their needs. You will articulate those needs within AppDynamics and lead product initiatives that build solutions tailored to meet those needs as they evolve

  • Collaborate with engineering, sales and design to solve customer problems and motivate our teams to ship quality product in a sustainable, enjoyable team environment

  • Achieve a balance between the various demands of the organization and its customers as you prioritize your backlog

  • Educate internal groups and customers about your roadmap in order to communicate direction and gather feedback

About you:

You are a product manager who is passionate about seeking the truth, building an insightful, delightful product, and building a high-performing team. Your ability to ask questions, to form opinions backed by judgment and facts, to solve problems, build relationships and consensus and stay on top of the details of execution are critical to you and to how you deliver the product. Your qualifications are:


  • 3+ years of Product Management experience, 3+ years in sales engineering in enterprise software, or experience at a top-tier management consulting firm. Other relevant/applicable work experience will be considered

  • Ability to work in collaboration with other functions in a team environment

  • Strong judgment and sense of prioritization, along with an ability to see the story in qualitative and quantitative data

  • Grasp of technical concepts and articulation of their salient points to a team


  • Track record of shipping software, ideally enterprise SaaS

  • Demonstrated ability to influence decisions across all company levels, especially without formal authority

  • Knowledge of and experience with data analytics concepts and software
