With our unique AIOps solution, you can take the right action at exactly the right time with automated anomaly detection, rapid root-cause analysis, and a unified view of your entire application ecosystem, including private and public clouds. Using AppDynamics, you'll finally align IT, DevOps, and the business around the information that helps you protect your bottom line and deliver flawless customer experiences at scale.

AppDynamics is looking for a Field Security Architect to support its business opportunities throughout North America and Europe. This position reports into the Product Security Assurance Team in the CISO Org of AppDynamics.

This is not a sales role but rather works closely with sales, pre-sales engineering, post sales services, technical operations, and product management counterparts to better understand customer security concerns around utilizing cloud services including AppDynamics' SaaS offerings. You will be able to establish themselves as a trusted advisor to our customers and develop credibility as a security industry authority focusing on our customers' security and privacy priorities as it relates to the usage of the suite of AppDynamics products.

Primary Responsibilities

Field Security Architects (FSA) will be responsible for supporting AppDynamics field personnel in North America and Europe. The FSA will translate security concepts into language that is relevant to both business executives and technical audiences becoming deeply familiar with the architecture, topologies, and business use of AppDynamics' most-strategic customers. FSAs will also become authorities on the AppDynamics suite of products - with emphasis on AppDynamics' SaaS offerings. Combining this familiarity with existing expertise in security will allow FSAs to drive short and long term solutions to security and privacy improvements for these strategic customers. As part of these efforts an FSA will also craft architectural documents and create collateral that can be used by the broader teams to enhance and scale AppDynamics' Field Security practice leading to efficiencies in the sales process. FSAs will be called on to meet face-to-face with customers to help them through their security analysis and risk acceptance processes that are prerequisites to their use of the AppDynamics products. This includes the development of solutions to risks introduced or inherent to the use of AppDynamics in a particular customer's environment; using problem solving, leadership, and customer success skills. This is a chance to make an immediate impact on a small but growing team in a highly transparent role that will be exciting and meaningful. Expected travel in the short term will be 30% to 50%; targeting 25% to 30% longer term, as the practise matures.
