Job Description

Brillient Corp is seeking both Advanced Analytics Consultants and Conventional Data Analytics Consultants for a proposal effort. These positions will be contingent upon contract award.

The positions will be located in Washington, D.C.

The Advanced Analytics Consultant shall provide thought leadership on analytical data visualizations and graphical based reporting. This will require strong knowledge and proficiency with building models and data infrastructures - data mining, data profiling, modeling, cleansing, enriching as well as extract, transform, load (ETL) solutions and scripting. The Contractor shall provide Modeling and Simulation services to support project analysis to perform the following tasks include:

* Develop analysis frameworks that explore known and emerging opportunities to combat identity theft.

* Deploy predictive models and build scalable, high-performance in-database scoring functions. Enable DBAs to use standard SQL queries to make fast predictions, and business analysts and decision makers to gain faster access to prediction results by leveraging out-of-the- box integration with industry-standard BI platforms.

* Identify Candidates for Next-Generation ID Theft Modeling: Support RAAS by examining methods, such as Dynamic Fuzzy Clustering

* Define alternate definitions of ID Theft for modeling and evaluation purposes with the objective of increasing marginal volume for the next iteration of detection models.

* Quickly build predictive models that can perform analysis on large datasets by scaling machine learning algorithms with parallel programming and User Defined Extensions (UDx).

* Deploy predictive models and build scalable, high-performance in-database scoring functions. Enable DBAs to use standard SQL queries to make fast predictions, and business analysts and decision makers to gain faster access to prediction results by leveraging out-of-the- box integration with industry-standard BI platforms.

* Leverage data analysis tools such as SAS or Python - to manage and visualize data, including how to deal with missing data, variable groups, and graphs.

* Apply statistical methods to IRS and third party data to design and implement workload prioritization tools, incorporating current priorities and enabling scenario comparisons.

* Perform data visualization to communicate information through graphical and interactive means and enables them to. The challenge in the Big Data era is on interpreting complex, high-throughput data, especially in the context of other relevant, but often orthogonal, data.

* Explore Alternatives to Tree-Based Algorithms: Evaluate and test alternative modeling tools and techniques to improve ID theft detection and the application of historical data. Tools and techniques examined may include, but are not limited to, Random Forest, Boosted C5.0, Bayesian Belief Networks, Neural Nets, Support Vector Machines, and network analyses.

* Leverage integration with third-party and open-source databases, data management tools, and data analytics packages.

o Use HPE Vertica SDKs to write custom C++, Java/Scala, Python, or R code.

o Employ the columnar architecture to significantly reduce and simplify data loading, exploration, and preparation times for large volumes of data.

o Use FlexTables and open source tools such as vertica.dplyr to explore and prepare semi-structured and structured data.
