Analytical / Environmental Product Engineer

Seeking a Product Development Engineer with a strong background in soil remediation, or strong soil remdiation industry experiencewith a MS or Ph.D degree in Environmental Engineering or similar degree. Is involved in new product development activities in the environmental business area. Lead product development projects, designas a test protocol, and supports process development and market development activities, including technical support to customers, working closelywith the Sr. Product Development Engineer and Product Development Manager. This is with a growing company in the Raleigh, Cary, Research Triangle Park area of North Carolina, located in one of the most technologically advanced, growing and attractive areas in the entire United States. Conduct and design evalutation studies of products for the environmental business area. Is involved in R&D activities of new products satisfying customers' needs. Is familiar with a general chemistry lab setting and is knowledgable of analytical chemistry and instruments such as ICP-MS, IC, TOC, and GC. Prepares a test protocol, technical reports, scientific publications, presentation for scientific and commercial conferences. Has a good knowledge and experience in soil chemistry, geology, hydrogeology and contaminant transport and fate anaylses in soil and groundwater. Uses knowledge and working experience in groundwater flow, contaminant transport and fate using analytical and numerical models, and soil / groundwater technologies. Understands the major mechanism of water treatment unit (physico-chemical and biological) and apply to current water and soil cleaning system for improvements. Uses the understanding of material solid structure and engineering. Coordinates project assignments with team members. Interactswith clients regarding the company's products and treatment systems. Will travel about 15% of the time.
A MS or Ph.D degree in Environmental Engineering or relevant degree is required. A minimum of 1 -2years' experiencewithin the water and soil remediation industry. Experiencewith project management, leadership, technical decision making, and customer interaction at the project level.
Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective customer presentations, and written report preparation.
Project Management experience, including budget and schedule monitoring, and control responsibilities. Ability to use MS Office, and a working knowledge of laboratory equipment.
