Summary:

Do you have HPLC method development experience with small molecules new chemical entities? If so, this position is a fit! In this role, you will provide analytical method development and testing to support process development for small molecule drug substances. This role resides in our Boulder, CO office.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans, performs and analyzes laboratory experiments in a safe, timely and highlyindependent manner
  • Conduct analytical method development for new chemical entities using HPLC/UHPLC
  • Compiles, maintains, interprets and acts on results of analysis and communicates these results to project team in appropriate verbal and written form
  • Support process development by performing analytical testing of starting materials, intermediates, and small molecule drug substances
  • Perform reaction monitoring testing and solubility studies
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues to discuss data and generate new ideas
  • Interpret and communicate results in written and oral form
  • Work efficiently with minimal supervision in the lab
  • Practice good lab citizenship

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Chemistry or related fields with 8 years' experience OR

MS with 5 years' experience OR

PhD with 2 years' experience

  • Proven record of HPLC method development for small molecule new chemical entities
  • Technically proficient in HPLC/UHPLC and GC method development
  • Highly collaborative; ability to work well with teams; excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience independently planning, performing and analyzing laboratory experiments and communicate results
  • Experience troubleshooting analytical methods

Preferred Experience:

  • Technically proficient in analytical methodology including LC/MS, GC/MS, wet chemistry, physical characterization, etc. preferred
  • Analytical method validation and transfer experience is preferred
  • Experience managing external contract analytical testing laboratories is a plus
  • Experience with early stage small molecule pharmaceutical development desired
  • Demonstrates excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience maintaining HPLC and GC equipment is a plus
  • Prioritizes tasks according to business objectives and can pursue several objectives simultaneously
