Job Description


Primary Duties & Responsibilities - 2 positions. * Architect - 1 position * Design Lead- 1 position

  • Architect, Design & build high quality and innovative data, reporting and analytics solutions in consistent, timely, accurate manner to empower Board of Directors, senior executives, governance committees, and regulators, including:
  • Tracking of exams, issues, enforcement actions, other regulatory matters, etc., Board Reporting (MRA's, EA's, Remediation, etc.), Senior management (OC level) and governance committee reporting and ad-hoc requests
  • Optimally build & utilize best practices and high quality technology solutions to deliver business needs (e.g., Data Lakes / Databases, Programming – Python/R /Java, Structured/Unstructured data sets, some familiarity with Machine Learning, Robotics)
  • Perform Business analysis to understand source to target mapping, transformations required, business logic to be implemented from stakeholders; Ensure consistency & adherence to standards, create efficient and effective output to concisely communicate relevant information
  • Automate where possible and come up with innovative solutions to challenging business problems leveraging newer technology solutions and trends
  • Understand (& establish) data standards, creation and maintenance of data assets aligned with Standards (familiarity with BCBS 239 or similar regulations), Data Lineage, Data quality /reconciliation framework builds
  • Perform Architecture designs & reviews, enable efficient data and application structures


Required Qualifications


  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling



Desired Qualifications


  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of data governance challenges and approaches: metadata, data quality, and data stewardship
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology architecture: development consultation including optimal design and configurations
  • Ability to interact effectively and confidently with senior management
  • Experience conducting meetings, presentations and status reporting



Other Desired Qualifications

  • Expert in SQL, NoSQL, Cloud/Columnar and other database solutions delivery
  • Solid experience in SQL Server, Database concepts, Data warehousing, Dimensional modeling and programming languages (preferably R/Python)
  • Strong technical skills including Data Lakes, Database (Teradata/Oracle/MS SQL), Python/R/Java, Excel, SAS, Visualization tools such as Tableau
  • Strong understanding of and experience in at least some of Data Governance aspects such as Data Quality, Lineage, Metadata Management, Controls, Reconciliation and Master Data
  • Optimal design and architecture proposals to build business applications with high visibility and external impact
  • Knowledge of data science
  • Intellectual curiosity to pursue innovative solutions to challenging business problems
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence (implementation experience would be a plus, but not mandatory)
  • Knowledge of banking supervision, regulatory examination cycle, and regulatory issue management cycle preferred
  • Demonstrate resilient work ethic with adaptability to changing situations, nimbleness and quick thinking ability and be able to operate in a dynamic environment
  • Advanced knowledge of organizational procedures, operations and applicable compliance rules and regulations
  • Proven ability to collaborate with others, initiate action plans, manage change, make high impact decisions and complete challenging assignments
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex analysis and insights into relevant business discussions with diverse groups of leaders and organizations
  • Proven ability to develop and implement a strategic plan within a business and lead it to completion
  • Knowledge of Risk Issue Management and Reporting (ERMF) preferred (but not mandatory)
  • A strong analytical skillset and presentation development skills are strongly preferred, with a demonstrated ability to craft clear and compelling stories/messages from complex situations and analysis
  • Ability to interact effectively with a variety of contacts at various levels within the organization and with external partners
