Pharmaceutical/Biotech Manufacturing Company is looking for:
POSITION: Analyst, Supply Chain/Financial
SALARY: $100-110k + Bonus
TYPE: Permanent Position
LOCATION: Woburn, Massachusetts
EXPERIENCE: 5-7+ Years Supply Chain Analytics in the area of Transportation and Distribution
RELOCATION: Assistance Available.
5-7 Years Analytics and Financial Analysis Background
Experience with MS Excel including Pivot Tables and Formula Building
Knowledge of PowerPivot, Power BI , Tableau and/or SQL
Experience with complex models forecasting, variance analysis, root cause analysis
Customers - Internal and External: Warehouse operations teams, plants, supply chain, sales, and end customers
Current team: All are strong operationally, each supports different sites/carriers. West Coast Team member's carriers and sites require less day to day support, member is more focused on project work. Team member focused on day to day firefighting: Similar for East Coast team member. This role is more specific to analytics and budgeting, as well as oversight of freight payment for high transport budget spend and has a lower grade staff member opening as well.
Biggest priority over the next 6 months: Building bench strength in analytics: departure of lead analyst has left us lacking needed skills.
Role is fairly specific to transportation and warehousing analytics: without experience in these areas other analysts would suffer in understanding ,many of the crucial variables.
Fun environment, new and different all the time, no crisis, very stable, rely on this person for analytics. Saved $470k last year.
High level analyst who has supported transportation and warehousing data analysis in prior roles
Exceptional communication skills, self starter, ability to take direction and run with it without micromanagement
Biggest challenge: Finding skilled candidate with Transport analytics prior background
Lead analysis and provide recommendations to drive continuous improvement of Supply Chain metrics such as cost-reduction, customer service, and inventory optimization.
Lead continuous improvement efforts for the Supply Chain organization
Development / roll-out of new planning triggers/KPI?s to support the Supply Chain strategy
Develop mastery in key planning systems to develop new analytical capabilities and improve efficiency and effort of current reports. Continue to build equity as a key resource for analytical skills in the organization.
Work with Supply Chain & operations to maximize service offering while minimizing Total Cost
Supports customer logistics requirements through the analysis, organization, planning and administration
Financial controls over distribution and transportation spend
Monitor and analyze OP spend and provide variance analysis
Monitor freight payments and costs
