his position has the responsibility for analyzing traffic and transactional data in order to uncover insights about consumer behavior. Analytics from this role will be used in conjunction with other research data to generate holistic views of consumer behavior in our stores, particularly relative to competition1. Work with fellow consumer insights colleagues and other business clients to understand issues related to traffic and transactions.
2. Analyze transactional data and traffic data to understand consumer habits relevant to our business. Provide reports to internal clients (Insights colleagues, other Marketing executives, merchants, operations).
3.Utilize external data to better evaluate traffic trends (marketing spend, online sales changes, external category sales changes like apparel and accessories).
Education Required: B.A. in Marketing, Business or Computer Science required.
Required or Acceptable Job-Related Experience:
Years of Job-Related Experience Required: 5 + years required.
Technical/Other Skills Required: Strong computer and analytical skills, particularly with respect to the use of databases. Proficiency in SAS, Access, Excel and Powerpoint. Proficiency in SQL and statistics is highly desirable. Personal computers, relational databases (Oracle, Access), peripheral equipment.
