Primary Job Functions:

Basic Job Functions:

The Integration Analyst assists with monitoring the production environment, screens incoming service desk tickets, helps evaluate incoming change and new requests, and performs the analyst responsibilities for some of those requests that get approved to move forward.

Experience and Education:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field or equivalent experience in a technical or business discipline or two years of First Solar IT experience; OR
  • Associate's degree in Information Technology with six years of related work experience or four years of First Solar IT experience; OR
  • High School Diploma or GED with eight years equivalent external work experience or six years of First Solar IT experience
  • Experience with Microsoft BizTalk 2009 or higher preferred
  • Experience of 2-4 years supporting applications for medium-to-large size company, preferably with multiple locations and an international footprint

Preferred Skills/Competencies:


  • Extensive experience in supporting Microsoft BizTalk solutions
  • Extensive knowledge of BizTalk architecture and implementation models
  • Understanding of the BizTalk EDI, BAM, BRE, and SSO subsystems
  • Usage of the WCF-SAP, WCF-SQL, File, and various HTTP-based adapters
  • Understanding of EDI X12 standards and file format
  • Understanding of Active Directory domains, network firewalls, authentication mechanisms, and basic network protocols
  • Experience using MSMQ, XSLT, XML, SOAP, REST, JSON, and C#
  • Basic navigation of SAPGUI and experience using SAP T-codes related to integrations
  • Ability to write basic T-SQL queries and create tables, views, and stored procedures
  • Familiarity with Workday, Salesforce, Azure Service Bus, Azure API Management, and Azure Logic Apps a plus
  • Experience using Microsoft OneNote, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft SharePoint a plus
  • Ability to act swiftly under pressure, prioritize, and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to estimate technical / business requirements
  • Ability to learn new platforms and technologies
  • Ability and willingness to multi-task and work in an often fast-paced environment with deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small but diverse, cross-functional team
  • Ability to create, document and perform unit testing for functional and non-functional requirements
  • Ability to provide support for the product integration, quality assurance and deployment
  • Effective communication and presentation skills

Essential Responsibilities:


  • Monitor BizTalk production environment for errors, resolving problems or submitting change requests or service desk tickets as necessary
  • Screen incoming service desk tickets and resolve or assign those related to BizTalk integrations
  • Evaluate incoming change and new requests for appropriateness, alignment with enterprise architecture and patterns, and fit with existing integrations
  • Write analysis of requests and proposed solutions for BizTalk developers
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure proper test evidence has been collected
  • Help coordinate IT and business testing and sign-off
  • Assist IT and business testers with errors related to testing activities in non-production environments
  • Coordinate or execute QA and production deployments
  • Perform production verification after production deployments
  • Help evaluate and deploy cumulative updates, feature packs, and upgrades
  • Assist with the management of network directories used for file-based integrations
  • Assist with the onboarding and validation of new EDI parties and new document types with existing EDI parties
  • Work with Solution Architects to evaluate and experiment with new cloud integration technologies
  • Exercise effective communications levels and foster team building
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards
