Product Analyst, Acquisitions & Integration

Uni-Select Inc. (USI) is Canada’s leader in the distribution of automotive parts, tools and equipment to the automotive aftermarket. It is in an exciting growth phase delivering strong financial results including currently operating over 51 corporate stores with the goal of continuing to increase that number through acquisitions.

In support of this growth, we are now looking to maintain and improve our synergy trough out our Canadian companies owned store, point of sales system and pricing management. Reporting to the Director of product management and with a direct link to the Vice-President Product, Procurement & e-business solutions, the Product Analyst will:

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Acquisitions

  1. Participate to the product line mapping to assess inventory quality
  2. Identify line commonality and change-over activities required
  3. Calculate estimated product synergies to support the business case and due diligence
  4. Monitor the integration product synergies and update various stakeholders
  5. Coordinate & maximize the agreed acquisition policies with stakeholders
  6. Establish a database of competitive line item interchanges
  7. Establish key reports & KPI to identify additional synergies & their implementation

Store System implementation

  1. Mapping & cleansing of common & non common product lines for loading
  2. Assign the adequate status to each item to be loaded in the new store system
  3. Assess discrepancies and implement required actions for proper loading & pricing
  4. Coordinate product data loads with master data

 

Essential for Success

  • 3-5 years experience as a business analyst
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills)
  • Knowledge of the automotive aftermarket industries would be an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical skills & attention to details
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Must be fluent in French and in English

  • Bachelor’s degree in a discipline relevant to the duties of the position
