We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a strong background in analog design skills to add to our Digital Photonics Center of Excellence (DP COE) design team in Colorado Springs, CO. Our site is located at the base of Pike's Peak in the beautiful Colorado front-range.

Our R&D team is looking to fill the position for an oscilloscopes probe design engineer. This individual will be responsible for defining and designing next generation probing technology for many challenging test and measurement applications. As part of our R&D team you will be a member of our diverse group of world-class mechanical, electrical and software engineers, helping you transform your designs into shipping products.

The ideal candidate has completed a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering and shows strong proficiency in circuit design and EE fundamentals. The candidate must exhibit background in guided wave propagation (transmission lines) and have a strong desire to learn and grow. This position requires deep technical expertise and skills to design next-generation technologies for Keysight instrumentation. A strong candidate demonstrates clear communication abilities and is ready to join a spirited, high-impact and collaborative team.

Principal Activities include: Analog and digital circuit design, component selection, schematic entry, PCB design, signal integrity analysis, electrical characterization, debug and DSP design and specification.

Job Qualifications

  • BSEE (MSEE desired)
  • Strong analog design fundamentals
  • Digital design fundamentals
  • Background in guided wave propagation, s-parameters, EM theory and practical application thereof
  • PCB design experience, including component selection
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to perform hands-on measurements with VNAs, Oscilloscopes and signal generators
  • Ability to "dig deep", driving to root cause on difficult problems, self-motivated
  • Strong communication and documentation skills, ability to collaborate cross-functionally with a team-oriented mindset
