he Money Transmitter Compliance Manager will be primarily responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance on behalf of Inmar during and after the company achieves license as a licensed Money Transmitter Manager in 49 states and required territories within the US. The Money Transmitter Compliance Manager will assist with the company’s regulatory and compliance interface with various regulators on related matters. Responsibilities will include: filing reports; creating and retaining records; monitoring/ensuring appropriate training of personnel; and updating the program as necessary.
This position will be located in Winston Salem.Primary Accountabilities:
Oversight and implementation responsibility for all US and supporting foreign market compliance, monitoring and regulatory processes and procedures and training.
Serve as one point of contact to manage all regulatory and compliance matters related to US money transmission licenses and US risk management regarding such licenses, ensuring transparency and accountability of relevant risk owners at the direction of the Money Transmitter Compliance Officer coordinating state money transmitter license reporting, including preparation and submission of all renewal applications, quarterly, semi-annual, annual financial and other reports as required.
Prepare notification and forms related to any and all material changes to the company as required by state regulators.
Coordinate, direct, prepare and assist in multiple state regulatory examinations throughout the year.
Create and maintain the BSA/AML/OFAC Risk Assessment and Compliance Program.
Provide internal reporting to the Executive Team.
Support internal audit implementation, execution and reporting.
Submit Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to FinCEN and manage the transaction monitoring process
Design, implement and periodically review KYC procedures and additional customer due diligence on medium and high-risk clients or clients seeking certain products/services.
Manage sanctions screening process, fine tune the filter thresholds, review suspected matches and report valid matches to the board and appropriate regulatory authorities
Coordinate implementation activities with lines of business and support groups to ensure that applicable business procedures get updated to incorporate program changes.
Prepare training materials and provide guidance and advice on more complicated AML/CFT issues.1
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent work experience.
Must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in performing compliance for a money transmitter or a bank.
Must demonstrate that he or she has undertaken acceptable, current training on topics directly related to the activities and business of the money transmitter and his or her function as a compliance officer. They should demonstrate the officer’s knowledge, training, and experience directly related to the applicant’s proposed money transmission activities.
Must be knowledgeable of the applicable state and federal laws, rules and regulations governing money services.
Should be knowledgeable regarding the Anti-money Laundering ("AML") enforcement framework
Will be responsible for assuring the day to day compliance with the AML program and Bank Secrecy Act.
Will be a W-2 employee and must be a citizen of the US or have legal immigration status to work in the US.
