The Alliance Director will be responsible for overseeing the execution of the Alliance strategy as set forth by the Board of Directors of the newly formed joint venture company. Works to drive alignment across multiple matrix organizations to flawless execution and success. The candidate is responsible for overall market results by driving a high degree of collaboration across the joint venture partners. Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:
  • Effectively serving as a bridge between Anthem and its joint venture partner.
  • Directly responsible for leading the work around a successful launch of the joint venture.
  • Ongoing day to day responsibility for ensuring the joint venture achieves its goals as laid out by the Board of Directors including but not limited to all goals around growth, quality, and profitability.
  • Drives success through improvements/changes to current approaches/processes to drive results.
  • Collaborates with shared services support to meet joint venture objectives.
  • Strategy and execution specific to cost of care and quality.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of a sales and marketing plan to support joint venture objectives.

  • It is strongly desired that this position work from our South Portland, ME office, however will consider other New England Anthem locations.

  • Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field; 8+ years of leadership/management experience in health care management, marketing products, and managing significant business results, including 5 years in a managed care environment and/or 3 years Medicare advantage experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. MBA preferred.
  • Previous P&L and/or project management experience in health care setting preferred.
  • Health Operations experience is desired.
  • Excellent quantitative, marketing, financial, and strategic skills required.
