Project Engineer with Systems engineering experience on military and/or commercial contracts. Must have experience with airborne software, electronic parts, hardware assembly, and test. Also, must have experience generating hardware and software update proposals and working directly with the GE customer. Role is to work with the C130 NIU and GE-MDEC (F110) board manufacturers to ensure on-time delivery of production hardware, including, but not limited to, coordination of design for obsolescence and modernization of the hardware, including engineering specifications and drawings per RTCA DO-160 and DO-254. 10% travel required.
Coordinates and monitors the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of company programs. Responsibilities also include aiding in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes and coordinating preparations of proposals, plans, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts. Develops new business and expands product line. Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, develops solutions to program problems, and directs work of incumbents assigned to program from various departments. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Acts as advisor to program team regarding projects, tasks, and operations.
